Man, finishing a game takes guts and persistence!
After seeing buddies of mine making mighty strides in their own gamedev accomplishment, in a fragment of the time I took to work on this, I realized I was being far too lazy.
No more! Delaying is for chumps!

As a little something to show off, I've finally found how to make the Fog Of War look just the way I wanted. Compare these screencaps. Ain't it neat? Love2D sure has lots of useful mechanics in it, but it takes time to figure them all out.
